Haruka Higashitsuji
Haruka Higashitsuji was born in 1996 in Kyoto, Japan.
She started studying piano with Mio Okuda at age four.
In 2007, Haruka began her studies with Makoto Nakanishi and made her concert debut at age twelve.
At the Kyoto University of the Arts, she studied with Professor.Hibiki Tamura.
Haruka has received numerous awards at piano competitions in Japan and received the Newcomer's Award in the music department of the Kyoto Festival of Arts 2019.
As a soloist, Haruka has performed with orchestras and gives numerous piano recitals in western Japan.
In 2021, she performed with renowned pianist Irina Mejoueva.
In 2023, she took part in the Coimbra World Piano Meeting.
In 2024, she took part in the Wiener Musikseminar.
She had played in master classes with Manuel Araujo, Kaya Han, Frank Hsieh, Jorge Martins, Gerlinde Otto, Sontraud Speidel and Makoto Ueno.
She has been giving piano recitals in Kyoto every year since 2018.
In addition to her solo activities, Haruka also plays chamber music.
In 2024, she released "Beethoven:Diabelli Variations Op.120".
Haruka has been working as a piano accompanist at the Kyoto University of the Arts since 2021.
She is also a piano lecturer at Idea Music Academy in Kyoto.
